NetCentrics Implements Tanium™ for Government Agency to Enable Rapid Response to Cyber Threats
Solution allows near real-time cyber response and improves cyber readiness
HERNDON, Va., May 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NetCentrics Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise IT services and cybersecurity for the U.S. government, announced today that is has implemented Tanium's Endpoint Management solution for one of its federal customers, improving cyber posture, increasing efficiencies, and leveraging new capabilities to increase operational readiness.
NetCentrics has deployed the Tanium solution to more than 35,000 endpoints across the customer network, making NetCentrics one of the leading integrators for Tanium in the federal space. After the successful configuration and deployment, NetCentrics is now also administering the new solution.
Tanium's Endpoint Management solution allows near real-time visibility into all IT assets on a network by connecting all endpoints with revolutionary speed and scale. After implementing Tanium, endpoint scan time fell from weeks to minutes, dramatically increasing cyber awareness. The Tanium solution makes organizations more secure and efficient through complete visibility and control.
"There are new threats every day," said Cyndi Barreda, president of NetCentrics. "Our job is to keep our customers as safe as possible and to prepare them to face new threats. Tanium helps us accomplish this by connecting to the endpoints of every asset. With this enhanced visibility, we're able to establish and maintain a picture of the operating environment. Not only does that significantly reduce our response time when there is a threat, but it also allows us to learn by observing the behaviors of the threats and our adversaries."
NetCentrics also deployed Tanium Connect, which offers the ability to integrate Tanium data to a Security Incident Event Manager (SIEM) or log tool. For this client, NetCentrics integrated the Tanium data with Splunk, which can ingest, correlate, and display Tanium information within a dashboard enabling the customer to make agile decisions in minutes based on highlighted potential risks to the enterprise.
The successful implementation of Tanium Endpoint and Connect and the integration with Splunk ensured the customer achieved full compliance with agency specific cybersecurity requirements ahead of schedule and under budget.
