National Law Journal Names Milberg in its Inaugural List of "America's Elite Trial Lawyers"

NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Law Journal (NLJ) has recognized Milberg's "creative and substantial work" by naming the firm to its inaugural list of "America's Elite Trial Lawyers."

Milberg was selected among over 100 firms for its "finely tuned management of major litigation," including the $89.5 million settlement in favor of Oppenheimer Funds Inc. shareholders.  The publication also highlighted Milberg's e-discovery practice noting that unlike other firms of its size "Milberg does its electronic discovery in-house, using a proprietary artificial-intelligence system to wade through millions upon millions of emails and other electronic documents."

The publication also highlighted Milberg's other recent substantial recoveries, which include a $174.2 million in a securities class action against Wells Fargo Bank N.A. and The Bank of New York Mellon in August 2013. "All told, the firm has achieved recoveries of more than $452 million since the beginning of last year."

According to the NLJ, firms selected for this honor devote at least fifty-percent of their litigation resources to plaintiffs work and "pulled in big victories in complex cases that ha[d] a wide impact on the law and legal business" and where "a substantial amount of money was at stake or the outcome could have affected litigation strategy or results in similar cases nationally."
