National Hispanic Corporate Council Set to Enhance its Influence and Outreach with an Active 2011
The growing organization provides best-in-class solutions and fosters professional networks by maximizing the Hispanic market opportunity among Fortune 1000 corporations
WASHINGTON, Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Hispanic Corporate Council will build on momentum gained this year with a highly-active presence in 2011, during which the organization is to further its central mission with new and more focused initiatives, along with a busy calendar of events.
At the top of NHCC's agenda is a renewed push for its NHCC Corporate Executive Development Program, an innovative platform designed for high-potential mid-level Hispanic managers in Fortune 1000 companies.
Offered by NHCC in partnership with SMU Cox Executive Education, the Program provides selected high performing participants with the knowledge, skills and tools to accelerate their development into the executive ranks for increasing optimal business performance.
The Council's Spring meeting, sponsored by Cox Enterprises, is scheduled on April 13-14 at The Coca-Cola Companies Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This event will be followed by the NHCC Fall member meeting (October 3-5) in Omaha, Nebraska – hosted by ConAgra Foods, Inc. at its corporate headquarters.
The Council's activities throughout 2011 will be managed and performed under the leadership of Pat Martinez, who assumed the role of President and CEO earlier this year. "The NHCC's commitment to providing innovation, guidance, and networking resources is a must as our influence on one of the world's greatest economies continues to grow," said Martinez. "I'm excited about the National Hispanic Corporate Council's current direction, and believe the organization's outreach, influence and overall effectiveness will continue to grow in the coming year."
Joining Martinez in guiding NHCC through an ambitious 2011, along with the Council's established team, will be Zuleika Cuevas – who joined the organization as Vice President, Director of Operations & Executive Leadership Program in October.
In this role, Cuevas works in close coordination with President and CEO Martinez to set the agenda for NHCC, and is specifically tasked with establishing the organization's marketing and communication vision for both the near and long term future.
"2011 represents a great opportunity for the National Hispanic Corporate Council to enhance its support for members and further establish our presence and influence in Corporate America," said Cuevas. "The NHCC team is prepared to effectively capitalize on this opportunity with a higher degree of dedication and communication."
