NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) today announced the appointment of two Charter Communications, Inc. executives to governance roles serving on its Board of Advisors and Board of Directors. Rhonda Crichlow, Charter's Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, has joined the NAMIC Board of Advisors. Additionally, Cheryl M. Manley, Charter's Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Employment Law, has joined the NAMIC National Board of Directors.

Ms. Crichlow joined Charter in October 2016, after 10 years with Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. During her tenure at Novartis, Ms. Crichlow served as vice president, Head of U.S. Diversity and Inclusion, and president of the Novartis U.S. Foundation. Under her leadership, DiversityInc recognized Novartis as the leading company for Diversity and Inclusion in 2014 and 2015. Ms. Crichlow holds a bachelor's degree from The George Washington University, a master's of Public Policy from Duke University and a Juris Doctor from The University of Virginia Law School.

In addition to Ms. Crichlow, the members of NAMIC's Board of Advisors include David Cohen, Senior Executive Vice President, Comcast Corporation; Patrick Esser, President, Cox Communications, Inc.; Stacy Green, Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources and Facilities, A+E Networks; and Joshua Sapan, President and Chief Executive Officer, AMC Networks.
In her role as the leader of Charter's Employment Law Group, Cheryl M. Manley oversees a team of attorneys and support staff. Managing all employment litigation, strategizing with senior executives as to the application of employment laws, providing legal guidance and counsel to human resources leaders and other varied responsibilities are under Ms. Manley's purview. In addition, Ms. Manley serves on Charter's corporate compliance team, assisting in the development of human resources policies and procedures, and participates in a myriad of corporate-wide initiatives.
Prior to joining Charter, Ms. Manley was in-house labor and employment counsel for a national manufacturing company and was employed by Husch Blackwell (formerly Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP) as an associate in the labor and employment department. Named among the 2016 Cablefax Most Influential Minorities in Cable, Ms. Manley is a graduate of Old Dominion University (cum laude) and St. Louis University School of Law.
