Myrtle Beach PGA TOUR Superstore Awards $5,000 to The First Tee of The Grand Strand
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., June 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- PGA TOUR Superstore has awarded a $5,000 grant to The First Tee of The Grand Strand to launch National School Program in Horry and Georgetown counties. The First Tee of The Grand Strand positively impacts the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
Joe Tucker, General Manager of the North Myrtle Beach store, and Bridget Zuri, General Manager of the Broadway store, will present the grant award to The First Tee on Friday at the Broadway location.

PGA TOUR Superstore and the store associates have supported The First Tee of The Grand Strand since 2010. In addition to grants, PGA TOUR Superstore provides young people with access to state-of-the-art teaching, club fitting and training.
In partnership with The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, PGA TOUR Superstore supports The First Tee chapters reaching young people in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Delray Beach, Denver, Myrtle Beach, Naples and Phoenix. The Foundation's chairman, Arthur M. Blank, is also chairman of Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, the owner and operator of PGA TOUR Superstore. He became a Trustee of The First Tee in January 2012, committing $1 million to the youth development organization through his family foundation.
The First Tee of The Grand Strand is a youth development organization that provides valuable life skills lessons seamlessly integrated into golf instruction. The chapter serves more than 7,000 youth annually through after-school programs and through instruction delivered in P.E. classes.
