Momentum™ Physician Scheduling Software Scheduled to Release Enhancements
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bio-Optronics, Inc. is proud to unveil the newest software update for the Momentum™ Physician and Staff Scheduler solution. Over the past several months, Bio-Optronics has been working to further enhance our physician scheduling software by incorporating a variety of new features, many of which came directly from users of the scheduling software. Some of the new enhancements include the addition of half-day or partial-day off requests, new reports, speed enhancements to all aspects of the application and a further enhanced internal messaging system.
The Momentum physician scheduling software is the industry's premier rule-based, automated scheduling solution for hospital departments and specialty practices including radiology, cardiology, pathology, hospitalists and imaging centers; it also handles on-call scheduling with ease. This intuitive web-based software is able to build equitable schedules based upon a number of variables including business demand, scheduling policies, competencies and personal preferences. Momentum drastically reduces time spent creating, distributing and modifying schedules. In addition to schedule automation, users around the world appreciate the change and notification tools, as well as integration with their Google and Outlook Calendars.
"We have worked incredibly hard to incorporate as many enhancements as possible into this new software release," says Tim Daly, Lead Software Engineer for Momentum. "We took into account customer enhancement requests as well as other general improvements to streamline every aspect of our unique physician and staff scheduling software, which continues to enhance our customers' productivity and quality."
Over four dozen enhancements have been made to the Momentum physician scheduling software. Partial-day off requests allow administrators to track staff time off in days, hours and minutes allowing users a greater range of flexibility. Administrators will also benefit from new and improved reporting functionality including enhancements to the assignment equity, summary, time-off and compliance reports. They and users alike will appreciate improvements to the software which further increase the already rapid speed of schedule building. Enhancements to the internal messaging system allow for greater levels of communication throughout the organization.
"Our schedules include many doctors who are ever more frequently working in several locations, causing disjunction in a time when we are attempting to have our sites work more cohesively as a single department. Using the Momentum physician scheduling software, anyone can quickly and easily view their schedule, or someone else's, regardless of the job function or location using the highly versatile features and tools. Getting to know these highly customizable features has given us much relief during a time of so many changes," says Katharine Barrett, Administrative Specialist at University of Washington, Pathology.
