Molly Currey Joins DKC As Executive Vice President To Build New Consumer Packaged Goods Practice
Former Executive Creative Director at GolinHarris to Run DKC Chicago Office
NEW YORK, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DKC Public Relations, Marketing & Government Affairs today announced the appointment of Molly Currey as Executive Vice President of DKC's Chicago office. Molly will oversee a new national consumer packaged good practice and focus on growing DKC's presence across the Midwest.
"Molly's extensive experience building national communications campaigns for some of the country's most familiar brands, coupled with her strategic, results-oriented approach and proven track record with business development make her the perfect fit to expand our presence in the Midwest and grow a nationally recognized CPG practice," said Sean Cassidy, president of DKC.
With more than sixteen years of experience in the industry, Molly's expertise includes developing large brand campaigns, executing national media relations, directing large-scale product roll-outs, as well as creating, planning and managing high-profile events.
"I am honored and delighted to join the DKC family," said Currey. "I look forward to bringing my unique mix of strategic thinking, abundant creativity and years of experience in the consumer space to this this powerhouse PR agency and help grow the brand in the Midwest and beyond."
Molly was most recently Executive Creative Director in the Chicago office of GolinHarris, where she lent her creative expertise to many of the agency's top accounts including McDonald's, Lipton, Walmart, Mountain Dew, BP and Walmart.
Prior to her most recent role, Molly – who joined GolinHarris in 1999 – focused her expertise in automotive/sports/motorsport and hotel/hospitality marketing. Over the years, she managed all of the GolinHarris motorsports clients, most recently IZOD IndyCar Series. On the hospitality side, Molly managed programs for many high profile hotel clients in Chicago including W Hotels Chicago, Hard Rock Hotel Chicago and the Elysian.
This new uncharted role is one Currey takes with stride, her track record literally shows a road less traveled. Molly holds a 1998 World Championship off-road title and is the 2002 Pikes Peak Hill Climb "Rookie of the Year" making her the only female in history to race a 1,000 horsepower semi-truck up Pikes Peak Mountain.
Molly joins other recent hires including Alison Crisci, who joined DKC as an Account Supervisor in the Chicago office. Alison joined DKC from KCSA Strategic Communications where she worked on integrated investor relations, social media and marketing campaigns with clients in the tech, corporate and lifestyle industries including mobile platform solutions, internet infrastructure, search engines, video marketing platforms, online dating and mobile public transportation apps.
