Mogreet and Grooveshark Partner to Create "Virtual DJ" Mobile Campaign for Corona Light's Beach Getaway Campaign
Corona Light's Campaign is First to Deliver Real-Time, Interactive Participation Among Mass Audience - Exclusively Through Mobile
LOS ANGELES, May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mogreet, the world's premier mobile video marketing company, today announced the launch of an innovative mobile partnership with Grooveshark, an internationally available online music streaming service and music recommendation web application, to deliver an innovative mobile campaign for Corona Light's Beach Getaway promotion.
The Corona Light-exclusive mobile platform, DJ to Getaway by Corona Light, invites consumers to become "virtual DJs" and host their own exclusive parties, where they can invite their friends and family to engage in real-time song selection using mobile devices. Any consumer can register to host a party by signing up at www.djtogetaway.com. Once registered, the party host is assigned a unique mobile keyword to be used exclusively for their individual party by mobile platform provider, Mogreet. The host's friends are then able to opt-in to join the party, simply by texting the host's keyword to the short code 94444 or by tweeting it by replying to @djtogetaway on Twitter. After a short welcome message from Corona Light and Grooveshark, partiers can text in or tweet song requests by song title and artists to add them to the party playlist. Grooveshark is partnering with Corona Light to support the program by providing its music library services for registered parties.

In addition to receiving music requests, party hosts can monitor their party through the use of host-only features, which are accessed directly from the website or through their mobile phones. These features include skipping a song they don't like or blocking mobile numbers that repeatedly request the same songs or songs that the host does not want to play. These features and Grooveshark's music service leverage Mogreet's mobile messaging platform, which delivers text, video, picture, and audio content to virtually any mobile phone and any wireless carrier, and provides the largest SMS/MMS reach on the mobile world. Grooveshark and Mogreet began their partnership after Grooveshark was approached by Corona Light's media agency of record, Horizon Media, to support the DJ to Getaway program by providing its music library services for registered parties via text messaging and social media.
