Modeleville Launches Innovative New Social Networking Concept for the Fashion Industry
NEW YORK, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Modeleville is a new social networking website that caters to creative artists in the modeling and fashion industry, including photographers, models, hair stylists, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, fashion designers, model scouts, creative directors, agency bookers and others. It is an arena that showcases the imaginative works of creative fashion industry professionals, as well as a meeting place where people can network with others who have the same passion.
"The goal of Modeleville is to serve as a bridge among professionals in the industry and to give aspiring talent the exposure and opportunity they need. With top end design online portfolios and a very user friendly networking service, we will create opportunities for our members that can help them to achieve their career goals," according to David Tan, the head designer of Modeleville.
The site was designed to be fun and easy to use, with a similar interface to many of the most popular social networking sites today - but with the sole focus on the fashion industry. It was also designed with the users' security and privacy in mind, to ensure that members only reveal the information that they want to.
"Whether you are looking to hire a model, a photographer, a make up artist, or other people in the modeling and fashion industry, or you are hoping to work as one, signing up with Modeleville is the first step you can take to achieve your goals. It is also a great tool to keep in contact with the people you have worked with," says J. Chen, CEO of Modeleville.
"Modeleville will become THE online place for people in the fashion industry to meet, hang out, and make connections," according to Michael Tan, the man who was responsible for bringing Modeleville from the planning board to reality.
David Tan is a graduate student of Technische Universitat Munchen majoring in biomedical computing, designed Modeleville over his summer break before returning to TUM to finish his masters degree.
Michael Tan holds a masters degree in theoretical computer science, which he finished in 18 months instead of 24 months, while on a full scholarship. He finished the coding of the website in just 3 months. Michael Tan is now the CTO of Modeleville.
