AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Moceri is investing more than $1.2 billion over 10 years to build a new vision of active luxury living for those 55 and bolder in southeast Michigan. The Blossom Collection represents a new concept in senior communities, with a variety of luxury residences at attainable rates, unparalleled amenities, and convenient access to a wide range of services – all organized around maintaining independence and connection to the people, places and things that matter most to residents.
Blossom Collection communities include detached homes, townhomes, condominiums, and luxury apartment homes in settings surrounded by beautiful landscapes, mature trees and a wide range of amenities designed to create carefree lifestyles for residents. A wide range of venues including club houses that contain a variety of dining options – from fine dining to casual restaurants – indoor and outdoor pools and spas, retail shopping, exercise rooms, and other options accessible to the public, as well as private spaces for residents only.
"Our goal is to create safe, engaging and vibrant communities where seniors just happen to live," said Blossom Collection President Kelly Scheer. "The Blossom Collection will inspire our residents and provide the dynamic living environment they want that also invites them to stay close and connected to those that matter most in their lives."
The growth rate in and around Blossom Collection communities for those 55 and over is anticipated to grow by over 40 percent by 2040. Nationally, an emerging trend of those 55-plus is to age in place in communities that encourage active lifestyles, lifelong learning and connection, and convenient access to a broad range of amenities.
"We're excited to have an investment of this scale going into Oakland County that provides the type of homes that our residents need and want," said Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson. "We've worked with Moceri for decades, and know that these homes will carry the exceptional attention to detail and the wide range of amenities that will allow our residents to live the lifestyles they want in the communities they love."
The original Blossom Ridge footprint in Oakland Township at the northwest corner of Dutton and Adams Roads, and those of Carillon Creek, located a quarter mile north of the Blossom Ridge development at Adams and Silverbell Roads, as well as Blossom Park in Auburn Hills, Blossom Lane in Sterling Heights, and soon to be introduced, Blossom Mills in downtown Rochester are included in the Blossom Collection.
"The Blossom Collection will exceed the expectations of the active adult lifestyle in the entire region," said Dominic J. Moceri, Partner at Moceri Companies. "It's a concept built around allowing generations to thrive in the communities in which they know and love, connected to amenities, services and experiences that make this chapter of their life the best one yet."
