Mississippi Nurses Association Names Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson A Hospital Of The Year

JACKSON, Miss., March 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Select Specialty Hospital – Jackson was awarded Hospital of the Year (100 beds or less) at the Mississippi Nurses Association and Mississippi Nurses Foundation joint Mississippi Nightingale Awards Banquet on March 4, 2013.

This award, which was established in 2006, is presented to the hospital that most distinguishes itself in the areas of professional nursing and innovation in leadership. Nominees are judged on several factors such as  RN participation in management decisions, their support of professional development for RNs; turnover of RN staff and community support for nursing, to name a few criteria.

The hospital is also committed to serving the community on many levels and holds service projects throughout the year benefitting Sunnybrook Children's Foster Home, Susan B. Koman Foundation, and the Center for Violence Prevention and Stewpot Community Services.
