CERRITOS, Calif., March 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. (MDT) announces another milestone in a multi-million dollar, multi-year contract with the United States Navy making the LANAP® protocol available to treat US Navy service men and women with gum disease.
Seven PerioLase® MVP-7™ lasers were deployed as part of Millennium's Periolase Periodontal Package for the LANAP Protocol to naval bases worldwide to treat periodontitis and peri-implantitis.
"This important milestone denotes the continued dedication of Millennium to our nation's armed forces, as well as both the Army's and Navy's efforts to provide the best gum disease treatment possible to our soldiers and sailors, and return them to their service duties faster than conventional periodontitis treatment regimens," states Robert H. Gregg, DDS, President and Chairman of the Board for MDT.
The LANAP protocol is the only laser gum disease treatment to have rigorous, peer-reviewed, published scientific evidence, along with the first and only FDA clearance for True Periodontal Regeneration™. True periodontal regeneration is the gold standard of healing for lost tissues due to destructive periodontal disease. True periodontal regeneration results in the functional regeneration of new alveolar bone, periodontal ligaments, and cementum destroyed by gum disease.
