NEW YORK, March 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Milberg LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul H. McVoy to the Firm's newly established position of Chief Discovery Officer. Prior to this appointment, Mr. McVoy served as the Firm's Director of Litigation Support.
In his new post, Mr. McVoy will take a greater role in guiding the Firm's partners, clients and co-counsel with regard to the technical aspects of discovery. In addition, Mr. McVoy will continue to build Milberg's internal Litigation Support Department as well as its highly regarded external litigation support and data hosting services. The Firm currently serves over 500 users, and manages over 30 terabytes across more than 150 cases.
"For more than a decade, we have strategically invested Firm resources to develop a best-in-breed hosting environment that could not only handle the smallest to the most massive cases, but could leverage cutting edge technology to level the playing field and enable our clients to fairly litigate in any case. Paul has embraced this vision from his first days at the Firm and continues to take our distinguished E-Discovery Practice group to new levels," states Ariana J. Tadler, Chair of Milberg's E-Discovery Practice Group and member of Milberg's Executive Committee.
"Paul has been an incredible asset to our firm. Not only has he helped to educate our firm's attorneys and staff in the technological aspects of discovery, he has become a go-to resource for any attorney who needs a plain spoken explanation in this technically complex area of litigation," says Milberg Executive Committee Chairman Sanford P. Dumain.
Mr. McVoy has been with the firm for nearly eight years and is a member of the Firm's Technology and E-Discovery Committees. Prior to that, he started a successful E-Discovery company and was the Litigation Support Manager for an international law firm. He is a frequent speaker and author on discovery topics, and is an active member of the Sedona Conference.
