Mike Rogers Joins 4iQ Board of Directors
Former Chair of House Select Committee on Intel Joins Pioneer in the Use of Deep and Dark Web Analysis to Protect Digital Identities and Enterprises
LOS ALTOS, Calif., Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- 4iQ, a leader in protecting digital identities and enterprises by scanning the surface, deep and dark web for stolen and lost data, today announced that Mike Rogers, former Chairman of the US House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and former FBI Special Agent, has joined the company's board of directors.
The Honorable Mike Rogers represented Michigan's 8th Congressional District and served as the Chairman of the US House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence where he oversaw, among other things, the $70 billion budget for the US intelligence community. A former FBI Special Agent, Rogers has a deep understanding of the evolving threats facing individuals, organizations and governments.
"Every day breaches are being perpetrated by nation states, state-sponsored actors, criminal organizations and countless lone wolves," said Rogers. "It's an epidemic that is spreading quickly. We need constant vigilance, a new way of protecting ourselves, and the ability to know as fast as possible if and when our identities have been exposed."
Cyber criminals sell, trade or dump stolen and accidentally leaked confidential information on the deep and dark web. Other criminals then have access to the data to steal identities and intellectual property, drain accounts, and hold networks for ransom.
"Whether individuals and organizations can effectively protect their information and identities is one of the greatest threats facing the global economy and national security today," said Monica Pal, 4iQ CEO. "Nobody understands this better than Congressman Rogers, and we are honored to have him on our board and helping to lead our company."
To help organizations and individuals fight this battle, 4iQ monitors and analyzes the full attack surface, sending alerts to individuals and organizations when personal information has been hacked or leaked.
"Mike brings a deep understanding of cyber intelligence, law enforcement and the threats facing consumers, companies and countries," said Pal. "He is an important addition to our team."
The 4iQ platform can also help companies comply with credential validation specification outlined in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Digital Identity Guidelines (Special Publication 800-63B) and prevent account takeover in accordance with OWASP OAT-008.
