MHA Announces New Home Infusion Solution in Collaboration with SHP, a Market Leader in Data Analytics and Benchmarking
Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA) and Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) partner on a new solution to help Home Infusion Pharmacy customers compete in the value-based reimbursement marketplace
FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Jan. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), a leading health care services and software company focused on the alternate site health care provider marketplace, and a recognized leader in the Home Infusion provider marketplace today announced the release of a new Home Infusion Pharmacy solution. MHA has partnered on development of the solution with Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), the leading provider of data analytics and benchmarking to the Home Health and Hospice provider markets. This new Home Infusion product will serve as the first formal collaborative offering between MHA and SHP since SHP started operating as part of MHA in 2014.
Michael J. Sicilian, President of MHA, commented, "SHP is recognized as the absolute leader in the Home Health and Hospice benchmarking and data analytics space, and this new Home Infusion solution will contain the same type of industry leading analytics. As the industry evolves in the new quality based reimbursement environment, Home Infusion providers are going to need very unique and detailed data to demonstrate their value. This new product will be an important component in showing that value. Rob Paulsson, President of SHP, added, "We are confident that these new reports and analytics will help Home Infusion providers to more effectively use their data to improve performance just as our other solutions do in the Home Health and Hospice markets."
Taking the form of a suite of reports, the new solution provides access to benchmarking and real-time data analytics, responding to the growth of patient population management and alternate payment models. The reporting structure enables Home Infusion pharmacies to capture daily trends and insights from their clinical, financial, demographic and utilization data. Pharmacies need these comprehensive reports to stay ahead of information and performance management, as Home Infusion providers will need to compete based on quality outcomes and pay-for-performance reimbursements. Of note to the Home Infusion market, the reports follow the data standards recently published by the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA). These new standards bring consistency to the industry and enable comparisons of outcomes and quality metrics at both a state and national level.
