Mexico Announces Change In Measurement And Announcement Time For Benchmark Spread Related To Its Exchange Offers
MEXICO D.F., Mexico, Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On August 3, 2012, the United Mexican States ("Mexico") announced its invitation (the "Invitation") to holders of certain series of its outstanding bonds (the "Old Bonds") to submit offers to exchange Old Bonds for new notes with a longer maturity and, in each case, if Mexico determines to pay an additional amount of cash, a U.S. dollar amount of cash as so determined.
In connection with the Invitation, Mexico announced today that it anticipates determining, and announcing shortly thereafter, the Benchmark Spread for each exchange combination (used in calculating the Old Bond and Reopened Notes Exchange Values) as of approximately 1:00 P.M., New York City time, on the business day prior to the Expiration Date, rather than as of approximately 5:00 P.M., New York City time, as previously announced. The UST Benchmark Rate, the Old Bond Exchange Value, the Exchange Ratio and the Reopened Note Exchange Value for each exchange combination will be determined as of approximately 5:00 P.M., New York City time, as previously announced.
