Metastorm Announces 2010 Enterprise Process Advantage Award Recipients
Large global organizations prove the value of Metastorm's BPM, BPA and EA software
BALTIMORE, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced the recipients of its 2010 Enterprise Process Advantage® Awards, which were presented at the 2010 Metastorm Global User Conference in Baltimore, Maryland on May 18, 2010. The global awards program was launched in 2003 and recognizes customers who have utilized the Metastorm software for mission critical, cross-enterprise initiatives to achieve a measurable return on investment and significant strategic advantage.
Nominations for the awards were received from Metastorm's customer base, employees and partners. This year Metastorm received an unprecedented number of entries from organizations across the globe. These were judged based on excellence in the use of Metastorm's software suite for business process management, business process analysis, and enterprise architecture. This year's recipients have successfully demonstrated that their Metastorm BPM® and Metastorm ProVision® projects were highly mission-critical in nature, enabled a significant strategic advantage and provided an impressive return on investment.
Metastorm would like to congratulate the following organizations as the recipients of this year's awards:
ALLERGAN
Allergan, a global, multi-specialty health care company, used Metastorm BPM and Metastorm ProVision to automate and analyze its business processes to further improve upon transparency, compliance and aggregate spend reporting. The solution is deployed nationwide and is being used by both employees and vendors.
HESS
Hess Corporation is a global integrated energy company. With the help of Metastorm ProVision, the Corporate Risk Control group was able to successfully implement its BPM Sustainability Plan. Over the course of 9 months, the project team modeled approximately 105 key processes across the risk management division to protect shareholder value, create business value, and improve transparency.
HEWLETT-PACKARD
With the help of a robust BPM information system infrastructure and tools, Hewlett-Packard's Consumer Service and Support division successfully implemented a single global solution to replace a complex set of old, less flexible technology solutions, rolling out a common global platform for over 10,000 customer service representatives. Hewlett-Packard's business process modeling teams have already reused the models within the BPM information system to deliver an approved set of process models that are used to simultaneously improve customer service around the world. These models provide a common set of requirements and a shared understanding between business and IT to effectively deploy regular updates to the global system worldwide, with a significant recurring cost savings for the organization. This effort and approach has been recognized as a best practice by Hewlett-Packard's senior leaders.
HSBC
As one of the leading banks in the world, HSBC is committed to quality and transparency. It was this commitment that led HSBC UK to select Metastorm ProVision and Metastorm Discovery™ to embark on a program of operational process improvement – with the goal of identifying repeatable savings and improving the customer experience. HSBC's initial Metastorm project was a human-centric process discovery and modelling exercise in remortgaging, which enabled them to identify efficiency improvements for significant annual cost savings, identify opportunities for improved revenue, and gain greater visibility for ongoing governance.
OLD MUTUAL SOUTH AFRICA
Old Mutual South Africa is the country's largest savings and investment group, and has embarked on a transformation program that will consolidate its finance function, and increase the value that it adds to the organization. The program centers on a shared service centre that eliminates silos, improves efficiency, provides greater visibility, and will ultimately result in enhanced customer service. With Metastorm ProVision, the company is documenting complete business models of its finance systems, data, processes, people and customer service measures. The models are housed in a single, shared repository to enable integration, collaboration and visibility across the business. This will result in significant future ROI and enables a single, objective view of the organization.
SEC SERVIZI
A large business process outsourcing provider serving the financial services sector in Italy, SEC Servizi is using Metastorm BPM and Metastorm ProVision to automate various financial services and human resources processes in support of its shared service offering to Italian banks. The organization has successfully deployed its risk and loan management, customer up-selling, documents acquisition, electronic overdraft, and customer file update processes – moving them off old mainframe systems and onto the Metastorm BPM platform. This project will eventually include up to 15,000 users and dramatically improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations, while at the same time providing shared visibility across the organization's core processes. In addition, by using Metastorm ProVision for business process analysis, SEC Servizi will be able to assist its banking consortium members in improving their financial services processes, thus establishing the company as an industry thought leader in process improvement and process control across multiple disciplines.
"We'd like to congratulate this year's Metastorm Enterprise Process Advantage award recipients for their outstanding use of Metastorm's software," stated Robert Farrell, chairman and CEO of Metastorm. "This year we were especially impressed with the innovation demonstrated in the many entries that we received, and it was certainly difficult to pick only six outstanding customers for the award. We are very proud of all of our customers, and we are honored to recognize the significant achievements of these organizations and commend them for using Metastorm's software for mission critical business process improvement initiatives. We hope these outstanding examples will inspire other organizations to undertake process improvement as a strategic focus."
