Men's Wearhouse Prom Rep Campaign Goes Social With New Online Features
Participants Receive Discounts, Free Tuxes for Prom
HOUSTON, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Teens can text, tweet, and talk their way to a free tux or $100 Visa gift card this year when they participate in the Men's Wearhouse Prom Rep program.
Prom Reps receive 10 percent off their tux rentals for every friend who rents with Men's Wearhouse. Ten referrals earn the rep a free tux. Female prom reps who earn a free tux rental can give it to a friend or opt for a $100 Visa gift card. Reps who reach twenty or more referrals are eligible for cash incentives.
While there were online components in 2009, participants had to visit the store. This year, prom reps have more social and online tools available to promote the offer among their peers.
After registering in-store or at www.mwtuxonline.com/promrep, each participant will receive a Prom Rep ID to gain access to a personal home page, on which they can track their stats and promote themselves to friends. Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and SMS messaging are just a few of the more than 200 social media channels reps can utilize to share the promotion.
"Prom fashion, plans, and even invites are being shared through social marketing, so it was clear an online platform needed to be at the center of this year's campaign," said Matt Schow, vice president of online marketing and e-commerce for Men's Wearhouse. "It's exciting to see the prom reps take the tools now available and make the program their own personal success."
In addition to expanding the social marketing aspects of the promotion, Men's Wearhouse has added a new contest to the promotion -- rent a tux from Men's Wearhouse and be entered for the chance to win an all-new Chevy Camaro Coupe 2SS! There is a one-entry limit, except for prom reps, who are automatically entered into the drawing every time they get a tux referral -- up to fifty times. The sweepstakes ends June 30.
