LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MENAJI Advanced Men's Skincare made a splash this year into the world of water scarcity awareness joining hundreds of organizations and Hollywood elite supporting the 7th Annual Thirst Project Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel held Monday, June 13. The Thirst Gala took place in the International Ballroom, on the same stage as the Golden Globes, and raises awareness and funds for the global water crisis.
Young Hollywood and Thirst Project supporters gathered for the evening to honor those who made a difference to fight the world water crisis such as this year's honorees Ansel Elgort, an American actor, and Catherine Hardwicke, a director, for their dedication to the Thirst Project, which helps to provide clean water to necessary communities. Elgort helped raise more than $100,000 for the organization, while Hardwicke's movie, "Miss You Already" (2015) starred Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette, whose character works for the Thirst Project in the film. The organization's CEO, Seth Maxwell, is also featured in a scene where he discusses the global water crisis.
The Thirst Project is non-profit organization that travels across the United States speaking at schools to educate students about the global water crisis. All the money raised goes directly to funding freshwater ground wells in developing nations and impoverished communities to provide people with safe, clean water. The organization has serviced more than 285,000 people in 13 countries with clean water over the last six years.
