MAZ Launches Us Weekly App for American Media Inc., Powered by TVX
NEW YORK, June 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Media technology company MAZ announced that they have partnered with American Media Inc. to launch a brand-new OTT and mobile app for Us Weekly, a weekly celebrity and entertainment magazine, built on their TVX and Phoenix products. AMI recently acquired Us Weekly from Wenner Media. Us Weekly joins the roster of other AMI properties powered by MAZ, such as OK!, Star, Men's Fitness, Soap Opera Digest, and Radar Online.
American Media Inc. owns and operates the leading celebrity, health and fitness media brands in the country. With the recent acquisition of Us Weekly from Wenner Media, AMI now boasts a combined circulation of 4.9 million per month, and a digital reach of 60 million unique visitors, giving them the number one market share in total newsstand circulation in the celebrity category.
TVX launched in January 2017, and was built to bring stunning OTT apps to media brands by providing an intuitive viewing experience for consumers, with powerful tools for publishers to manage and monetize. Phoenix, released in November 2016, aims to reimagine the digital magazine for mobile, with fully optimized issue and article layouts and options for daily news, video, image, and web content.
