Maxwell Health Names Bob Gaydos VP, Strategic Partnerships
Insurance Industry Veteran to Lead Partnership Development for Fast-Growing Employee Benefits Platform
NEW YORK and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Dec. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxwell Health ("Maxwell"), a web- and mobile-based platform that dramatically simplifies employee benefits management, today announced Bob Gaydos has been named VP, Strategic Partnerships. Gaydos is a nationally-recognized expert in the field of employee benefits management, and brings to Maxwell years of industry experience, from successfully founding and growing companies in the space to helping shape health insurance policy. In his role at Maxwell, Gaydos will focus on building new strategic partnerships and deepening existing ones.
"We're thrilled to welcome Bob Gaydos to Maxwell," said Veer Gidwaney, co-founder and CEO of Maxwell Health. "He brings an amazing breadth of industry knowledge, and will be an invaluable resource for the company as we continue to shape the future of employee benefits."
Prior to joining Maxwell, Gaydos helped oversee the introduction of private benefit exchanges into multiple US markets under the Digital Benefits Marketplace brand, which in 2011 acquired his first company, The Benefit Group of New England. He has helped grow a number of health administration companies, including Choice Strategies, which he co-founded, and which grew to become a leader in health reimbursement accounts (HRAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs). Under his guidance, the company pioneered the use of HRAs to use tax advantages to offset health care costs. Choice Strategies was acquired by Wage Works in 2012.
In addition, Gaydos has played an active role in health insurance policy. He has served on the CIGNA National Producers Advisory Council since 2007, the MVP Healthcare Advisory Board since 2008, and the BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont Broker Advisory Board since 2007. He also previously served as a member of the Vermont Public Oversight Committee from 2001-2003.
"Over the last several years, I learned a very important lesson: technology matters," Gaydos said. "Maxwell is truly the next generation of benefits administration, bringing simplicity and scalability to employee benefits, and I'm very excited to be joining their team."
