Mattie Fein Receives Key Endorsements in Race Against Jane Harman: Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Political Action Committee and California Small Business Association Pick Fein While Harman Hides from Campaign Debate Request
TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mattie Fein, congressional candidate for the 36th District in California, opposing Jane Harman, has earned the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Political Action Committee endorsement. Howard Jarvis' group enthusiastically elaborated: "Mattie Fein will be an excellent representative for taxpayers and look forward to working with her in the years ahead."
In addition, Fein also received the coveted endorsement of the California Small Business Association. President of CSBA, Betty Jo Toccoli amplified on Fein's stellar defense of small business as the keystone of economic recovery: "Mattie Fein's commitment to the future of small business is deserving of the support. She will do a great job representing us effectively in Congress."
Fein's commitment to government, small business, local jobs, a flourishing private sector, privacy, and national security previously earned her the endorsements of Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich, and the National Tax Limitation Committee.
Harman's votes have starved small business of capital by endorsing a staggering $14 trillion national debt and annual budget deficits exceeding $1.5 trillion, as far as the eye can see. Harman's U.S. Chamber of Commerce ranking plummeted from 65% to 47% in just one year. Harman voted to squander $800 billion in TARP monies (in a recent newsletter she wrote of her "disappointment" that TARP didn't create jobs) on financially irresponsible banks, insurance companies, or other lenders, which proceeded to pay outlandish bonuses to reward financial catastrophe for beleaguered homeowners. She supported Obamacare, which places a crushing burden on small business and individuals alike. For the first time in history, every American will be saddled with a punitive tax for living and breathing.
"I promise to replace Harman's unfriendly small business environment with a business and jobs friendly landscape purged of gratuitous regulations, tax hikes, and the hogging of credit by the government. I am honored by the HJTA PAC's and CBSA's endorsement and confidence in my prosperity agenda. I am committed to spearheading small business advisory groups in the 36th district to ensure that would-be and current small business entrepreneurs do not encounter government headwinds in their pursuit of the American Dream built on skill, foresight, and industry," Fein stated.
Mattie Fein for Congress Campaign has challenged Harman to four debates before the November 2, 2010 election. But Harman has scampered away. Fein observed, "The voters of the 36th district deserve better than an incumbent as silent as the Sphinx. Multi-millionaire Jane Harman advertises that her seat in Congress is not an "entitlement" yet she refuses to show respect for the electoral process and the voters of the 36th District and descend from her pedestal to debate.
