FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Marshalls wants to inspire people to open their doors to a whole new world of possibilities…literally. As people across the country begin to settle into their fall schedules, Marshalls is going to help them break out of that monotony by delivering surprises directly to their doorsteps, transforming their Pinterest boards into a reality.
Similar to Marshalls, people turn to Pinterest to be inspired – browsing and discovering items and styles they never knew they loved. In fact, 92 percent of women are open to trying something new to shake-up their routine. In response, Marshalls is merging both worlds by launching a campaign, Pin Pals, which brings Pinterest inspiration to life by delivering surprise boxes of Marshalls products that have been personally curated by beauty, home and fashion experts through the lens of their fans' favorite Pinterest finds.
To help launch the contest and spread the surprise, Marshalls is kicking things off with Mr. Kate, lifestyle expert and home design YouTube star, who recently surprised a fashion student who just relocated from Peru to LA with a globally-inspired, bohemian-designed surprise box from Marshalls to bring her Pins to life. Mr. Kate's surprise shopping experience can be found on her YouTube channel with the reveal of her Pin Pal and her reaction to air on Saturday, September 24.
"The best inspiration comes from collaboration, and I love having the opportunity to exchange ideas and discover finds with my community online," said Mr. Kate Albrecht. "I've always thought of Marshalls like a real-life Pinterest board – you never know what surprising things you'll find just by strolling the aisles. Pin Pals is the best of both worlds; I was so excited to see what inspired my fans on Pinterest – and headed to Marshalls to turn those ideas into an actual surprise delivery!"
Marshalls has also teamed up with additional YouTube content creators and influencers across the country who are helping surprise and delight fans with curated Pin Pals boxes.
Marshalls is also giving its fans an opportunity to enter the Marshalls Pin Pals Contest for a chance to win a surprise box of their own. All the exciting finds that are saved on Pinterest can now live and motivate daily routines – whether inspiring an impromptu dinner party or a night on the town.
For more information on Pin Pals and details on how to participate in the Marshalls Pin Pals Contest, consumers can check out the Marshalls Pin Pals board on Pinterest, be inspired and save what inspires them.
