Marjory Fisher, Former Bureau Chief of the Queens County District Attorney's Office Special Victims Bureau, Joins T&M
NEW YORK, March 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- T&M Protection Resources, LLC (T&M), a global security and investigations firm headquartered in New York City, is pleased to announce that Marjory Fisher, the former Bureau Chief of the Queens County District Attorney's Office Special Victims Bureau has joined T&M as a Managing Director in the Sexual Misconduct Consulting and Investigations (SMCI) division.
With the addition of Ms. Fisher, a renowned sex crimes and child abuse prosecutor and subject matter expert with over thirty years of experience, T&M will expand the highly in-demand services provided by SMCI, a division that was established at T&M in October 2011 by Lisa M. Friel, the former Chief of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit. Since its formation, SMCI's advisory, training and investigative services have been increasingly sought after by schools, universities, law firms, religious institutions, professional sports organizations and business entities across the country.
Robert S. Tucker, Chairman and CEO of T&M, has known Ms. Fisher since 1992, when he served as the Special Assistant to the District Attorney of Queens County. "Marjy has dedicated her career to investigating allegations of sexual assault and child abuse, and she is a nationally respected expert in this field," comments Mr. Tucker. "I am very pleased to have her on the T&M team and I know that our clients will benefit greatly from her advice and experience."
Lisa M. Friel, T&M Vice President and head of the SMCI division, first met Ms. Fisher in the early 1990s when they both led their respective sex crime bureaus and together, for many years, directed the New York State District Attorneys Association's Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence & Child Abuse Legislative Subcommittee. "I have admired Marjy's expertise, passion and dedication to her work for over twenty years," says Ms. Friel. "I am thrilled that she has decided to join T&M as we continue our important work in this field."
Ms. Fisher joins T&M following an extensive career spanning over thirty years as a prosecutor specializing in sex crimes and child abuse cases. As the Bureau Chief of the Queens County District Attorney's Office Special Victims Bureau since January 1992, she supervised and managed all felony sexual assault, child abuse and elder abuse cases. Prior to this appointment, she served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office for over eight years, where she was responsible for trying rape and child abuse cases in the Sex Crimes Bureau, homicides as a supervising trial attorney in the Homicide Bureau and other serious felonies as a Deputy Bureau Chief in the Supreme Court Bureau.
"When I decided to transition to the private sector, joining T&M was obvious. Its reputation is well-known throughout the metropolitan New York area and I am excited to be joining so many of my former colleagues who are already working there," says Ms. Fisher. "I am also very grateful that T&M will enable me to continue my passionate, career-long efforts to protect and educate individuals on sexual misconduct and child abuse and to provide sensitive and experienced investigations into such allegations."
