MILWAUKEE, Dec. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- (NYSE: MAN) – ManpowerGroup today announced the appointment of François Lancon as Regional President, Asia Pacific and Middle East (APME), effective January 1, 2019. Lancon will oversee all ManpowerGroup's strong and connected brands and offerings across the APME region – Manpower, Experis, Right Management and ManpowerGroup Solutions. Lancon joins ManpowerGroup from Oracle where he led the APAC business, responsible for growth, performance and profitability across 25 countries. Prior to his position at Oracle, Lancon held a number of senior regional leadership positions at SAP, Nortel / Avaya and Convergys, accelerating transformation and growing market share in Europe, North America and Asia. He began his career at IBM in France as a software engineer and held multiple leadership and sales positions in France and the US in his ten years with the company.
"François has a proven track record in building successful organizations with the right blend of people, skills, processes and technology in a rapidly evolving digital market," said Jonas Prising, ManpowerGroup Chairman & CEO. "I am pleased he will bring his strong leadership, digital expertise and operational discipline to further innovate, accelerate growth and build on the strong foundation that Ram has nurtured in the region. This is how we will connect even more people with meaningful work and companies with skilled talent in APME."
"I'm passionate about helping people achieve their potential and am excited to join the leading global workforce solutions company that finds meaningful work for millions of people every year," said François Lancon. "As emerging technologies and digitization change skills needs faster than ever, I'm looking forward to leading a talented team that can create even more value for ManpowerGroup clients and candidates in Asia Pacific and the Middle East."
