Manatron's GRM Tax Collection System and e-Government Web Portal Goes Live in Florida's Palm Beach County
PORTAGE, Mich., Nov. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Manatron, Inc., a global leader in providing integrated property tax and records management software for state and local governments, today announced that the Palm Beach County, Florida Tax Collector Offices are now live on the Manatron Government Revenue Management (GRM) Tax Collection system and e-Government web portal.
The new, web-based Manatron GRM installation replaces the office's decades-old legacy mainframe application. The project was initiated by Anne Gannon, the constitutional tax collector serving Palm Beach County. This effort was part of the Tax Collector's Office's commitment to an "un-government" experience – one aimed at providing better customer service through improved technology and culture change for the taxpayers of Palm Beach County.
"Manatron shared our vision for enhancing the 'user experience' for an ever-increasing technology-savvy public," said Gannon. "It was obvious that Manatron understood our county's needs very well in addition to the paradigm-shift occurring in local government toward customer service through the use of cost-saving technology."
Marty Ulanski, Manatron chief operations officer, stated: "Anne's entire team showed an unwavering dedication to providing outstanding customer service for their taxpayers by utilizing the new GRM web-based technology to their advantage at every possible opportunity. Ultimately the value for Palm Beach County is twofold: lower operating costs and better service improvements."
Palm Beach County is located on the south-eastern Atlantic coast of Florida. The County tax roll has over 650,000 real property parcels.
