HELSINKI and WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SSH Communications Security today announced that it has been selected by one of the world's largest financial services and mutual fund management corporations as a strategic provider for its SSH Trusted Access Governance initiative. SSH was selected as the preferred vendor because of its expertise in addressing financial services governance concerns regarding trusted access and the need to quickly remediate security concerns without impacting business operations. The value of the order is significant and is comprised of both license subscription and services. www.ssh.com/ukm
The access governance initiative addresses the need for a complete governance process for SSH user key-based access that includes on-premises and cloud environments, using SSH's Universal SSH Key Manager (UKM) and CryptoAuditor solutions.
- A full-service provider: SSH UKM provides a centralized view into all SSH keys across a network for complete visibility. CryptoAuditor provides encrypted session monitoring and control for critical access from on-premises environments into the cloud infrastructure.
- Creating visibility: The deal will provide visibility and monitoring across the network environment for SSH user-based trusts and remediation of non-compliant access to SSH keys, as well as the implementation of lifecycle management for the provisioning, de-provisioning and recertification of said access.
- Faster time to remediation: SSH was chosen for its ability to swiftly resolve security issues and help the organization achieve compliance, preventing costly mistakes that would negatively impact the business.
Tatu Ylönen, CEO, SSH Communications Security, said: "Customers choose SSH Communications Security because of our unique expertise in this space and because our solutions solve major access and security concerns without disrupting existing processes and network architectures. As a result, we continue to cement our position as the market leader for SSH trusted access governance initiatives for an increasing number of large financial service enterprises."
Matthew McKenna, chief strategy officer & VP of key accounts, SSH Communications Security, said: "Enterprises today face a massive awareness and control gap in their trusted access governance postures because SSH user keys, which don't expire, must be linked to an identity and be provisioned with oversight. The lack of management around SSH user keys has become a security issue of epidemic proportions and is one of the blind spots in access management that makes it easy for malicious actors to go unnoticed. We are thrilled to provide this financial services giant with the tools it needs to face this growing security challenge head-on."
