Lucky Supermarkets and Shell Help Consumers in the Greater Bay Area Earn Fuel Savings at the Pump With the Fuel Rewards Network Program
Consumers Swipe their NEW Lucky Rewards Card at Checkout to Earn Savings on Fuel Redeemable at Participating Shell Stations
MODESTO, Calif., Aug. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucky Supermarkets announced that beginning August 22, consumers who shop at any of its greater Bay Area stores using their new Lucky Rewards Card can now earn significant discounts on fuel redeemable at participating Shell stations. Consumers can receive savings of 5 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents or more per gallon when redeeming Fuel Rewards® savings. Shell is the no. 1 selling gasoline brand in the U.S.
The Lucky Rewards program is a free program where consumers will earn Fuel Rewards savings simply by making qualified purchases at Lucky Supermarkets. The Lucky Rewards program is part of the Fuel Rewards Network™, allowing Lucky consumers to redeem Fuel Rewards savings at approximately 190 participating area Shell stations.
It's Simple…Fill Your Cart then Fill Your Tank.
For every $50 in qualified purchases at Lucky using the new Lucky Rewards Card, a 5 cents per gallon discount on fuel is earned and redeemable on a single fill-up, up to 20 gallons of fuel per purchase. Additionally, Fuel Rewards savings are cumulative – the more shoppers spend, the more they earn. For example, if a consumer spends $100, they will earn a 10 cents per gallon discount, if they spend $150, they earn a 15 cents per gallon discount, etc. Shoppers also don't have to spend $50 in one transaction. Purchases are automatically tracked and each time the $50 threshold is met, another 5 cents per gallon discount on fuel is earned.
"Providing additional value is always our priority and with our Lucky Rewards Card, shoppers are in control of their overall fuel savings," said Frank Capps, Chief Sales Officer, Lucky Supermarkets. "We are excited to offer a real reward for those choosing to spend their grocery dollars with us!"
"We are very pleased to redeem Fuel Rewards savings at participating Shell stations in the San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose areas," said Dan Little, Fuels Marketing Manager, Shell North America. "With conveniently located participating Shell stations throughout the area, it has never been easier for consumers to save on Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines, including our premium gasoline, Shell V-Power®."
Earn More Fuel Rewards Savings
Consumers can earn additional Fuel Rewards savings with 700 online merchants using the Fuel Rewards Network (FRN) Online Mall. Earn 5 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents or more per gallon for every $50 spent online. Only available at www.fuelrewards.com. Offer may vary per merchant. The Fuel Rewards Network program is operated by Excentus Corporation, a retail marketing coalition specializing in fuel based reward programs.
