Clive Darby, founder of RAKE, www.rakestyle.com has been in the fashion and retail industry for over 29 years. He has been instrumental in creating and running three UK Men's Fashion Brands: Richard James, Kilgour, and RAKE.
Mr. Darby started his career in sales and moved to London in the late 1980's to work for Browns. In 1992, Clive joined forces with Richard James and Sean Dixon to open the first Richard James store in Savile Row where he acted as Retail Director. In 2002, having grown sales significantly within Ready To Wear and Bespoke, Clive changed directions and became a co-owner of Kilgour French & Stanbury. The Company was eventually re-branded and re-launched as Kilgour in 2003. Clive acted as both Retail and Wholesale Director over the next five years as Kilgour became one of the most sought after brands in the world. Kilgour was sold in 2008.
