Los Angeles Jewish Home to Honor Longtime Supporters at Gala Dinner
Carl Reiner, Award Winning Actor, Producer and Writer, to Serve as Emcee at May 24th Beverly Wilshire Event
RESEDA, Calif., May 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Civic, business and community leaders will join together at the Los Angeles Jewish Home's 9th Annual Celebration of Life: Reflections 2010 gala on May 24 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The event will honor Marilyn and Monty Hall with the Home's Habonim, or Builder's, Award and Joyce Brandman with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Carl Reiner, award winning actor, producer and writer, will serve as the evening's emcee. All three honorees - who are also active with many other local organizations in the Jewish and general communities - will be recognized for their extraordinary leadership contributions.
In announcing this year's honorees, Jewish Home CEO-President Molly Forrest reflected on their importance to the Jewish Home: "Marilyn and Monty Hall have brought joy and entertainment to our residents, and introduced many new supporters to our cause. Joyce Brandman has been steadfast in supporting our Home's growth and expansion." The event will also celebrate the accomplishments of the Home and its vision for meeting the needs of a growing elderly population in the future.
Reiner has won 12 Emmy Awards and a Grammy award for his work as a co-star on the legendary television program, Your Show of Shows, the creator and co-star of The Dick Van Dyke Show, the interviewer in The 2000 Year Old Man, and the director of feature films, including The Jerk, All of Me, Oh, God!, and Where's Poppa. His TV acting credits include Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, and Two and a Half Men. He currently has a recurring role in the animated The Cleveland Show. He also has many feature film credits as director and actor, including Ocean's 11, Ocean's 12, and Ocean's 13. Reiner books include My Anecdotal Life and Just Desserts.
The May 24th event will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner and program at 7:15 p.m. The event is co-chaired by Harold Foonberg, Michelle Rubin, and Pam Rubin.
Tickets are priced at $450 per person; tables and sponsorship packages are available.
