Lockton's Chicago Office Again Earns Best Places to Work Designation

The award is based on an employee survey, where Associates answer questions about company benefits and policies. It measures eight areas of engagement and satisfaction in the workplace. Associates scored Lockton at 90 or higher out of 100 in the survey results, and this year, Lockton's Chicago office placed sixth in the large employer category.

As the company continues to expand, the culture and commitment to Associates stays the same because Lockton understands that their people are the company's most valuable asset.

The Chicago office shows Associates they care by having;

• Monthly brown bag lunches with the President and COO where Associates give in-person feedback to executive leadership.
• Summer hours where the Chicago office closes at noon during six Fridays in the summer to allow Associates time to enjoy the weather and spend time with family and friends.
• Jeans days and months where Associates can wear jeans by donating to local charities in the community.
• Two days off per year to volunteer in the community, resulting in more than 1000 donated company hours in 2016.

Lockton's Chicago office grew by more than 16 percent in 2016. The operation has also averaged more than 15 percent annual growth for the last seven years.

The Best Places to Work in Illinois Award is an initiative sponsored by the Daily Herald Business Ledger, Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Advocacy Council and MRA – The Management Association.
