New Linksys Range Extenders Help Eliminate Dead Zones and Boost Wi-Fi Signals Throughout the Home
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Linksys®, a leading brand in wireless networking, today announced new additions to its line-up of Linksys Wi-Fi Range Extenders; the Linksys AC1200 BOOST EX Range Extender (RE6400) and Linksys AC750 BOOST Range Extender (RE6300). Both new range extenders help boost those Wi-Fi signal bars in areas of the home where they are weak, so mobile devices can connect to the Internet and to each other more reliably throughout the home.
Weak Wi-Fi signals in some parts of a house or apartment are caused by blocking elements such as walls, mirrors, refrigerators or interference from other devices like baby monitors, microwaves, other wireless networks or DECT phones. Range Extenders help enhance wireless coverage and eliminate "dead spots" for a better Wi-Fi experience throughout the home.
"Wireless signals from Wi-Fi routers can be affected by the number of walls they need to pass through, as well as by other wireless signals from neighbouring routers in densely populated areas," said Justin Doucette, director of product management, Linksys. "A range extender can help extend the reach of a Wi-Fi signal to all the areas that you want to access the internet, such as distant bedrooms, basements, or even the backyard. Our new range extenders come with Spot Finder, a simple approach to placing the range extender in the most optimal spot, which is halfway between the router and the dead spot."

Linksys AC750 BOOST Range Extender (RE6300)
The Linksys AC1200 Boost EX Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE6400) and Linksys AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE6300) help eliminate Wi-Fi dead spots throughout the home by increasing the wireless signal from an existing Wireless-AC router. With up to 7,500 square feet*† (RE6400) or up to 6,500 square feet*† (RE6300) of coverage, both range extenders come equipped with Cross-Band technology, which maximizes simultaneous use of both bands for high speed data transfer and uninterrupted streaming and gaming. The result is a stronger, more consistent signal throughout your home. Connect a wired device like gaming console, blu-ray player, smart TV, or streaming player to your Wi-Fi network via the Gigabit Ethernet port.

*Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specification. Actual performance can vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, range and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions.
†Range specifications are based on performance test results under normal use case conditions. Actual ranges will increase or decrease depending on wireless obstructions, operating environments and building material. Wireless coverage claims are used only as reference and are not guaranteed, as each wireless network is unique.
**Compatibility claim based on range extender's ability to repeat the router's signal. Range extenders have not been tested with all routers
Specifications are subject to change without notice. An active, customer-purchased Internet Service Provider broadband account is required for connection to the Internet.
