SAN FRANCISCO, March 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- LimeBike, the leading U.S. smart bikeshare, is teaming up with the San Francisco Giants for the Spring Training season in Arizona to promote the Bay-Area based smart mobility solution as the Giants' official Bikeshare Partner of 2018 Spring Training.
Scottsdale Stadium is the Spring Training home of the Giants, and Arizona is one of LimeBike's top markets. During every home game at Scottsdale Stadium LimeBike will station bikes at the stadium to provide fans with a reliable, sustainable and affordable transportation option.
"This is an exciting opportunity for LimeBike to support our home team in a community we already work so closely with," said Caen Contee, LimeBike VP of Marketing and Partnerships. "We hope this is just the beginning of an awesome partnership with the Giants, and we're excited to be able to provide our services to the many Phoenix-area residents and visitors who will watch the games."
To celebrate the Spring Training season, riders can use the code "LIMEGIANTS" for $3 in ride credits. The Giants Spring Training games began this week in Scottsdale and end on March 23. To celebrate this partnership, fans will also be able to receive co-branded LimeBike and SF Giants gear.
"The Giants are excited to partner with LimeBike to offer our fans in Scottsdale this great transportation option for getting to and from the park," said Jason Pearl, Giants Senior Vice President of Partnerships and Business Development.
This announcement follows on the heels of the addition of LimeBike's new electric-assist bike, Lime-E, to LimeBike's Seattle fleet and the launch of all three LimeBike models, including the scooter Lime-S, in San Diego.
After launching its first market in June 2017, LimeBike is currently available in 50 markets, making it the fastest-growing smart bikeshare in the U.S. All bikes are GPS and 3G-enabled, making it simple for riders to find, unlock and pick up a nearby bike using their smartphone. When the ride is finished, riders simply lock the bike's back wheel and responsibly park between the pedestrian-designated sidewalk and the street curb, or at a bike rack.
