NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Moen ranks highest in trust among faucet brands according to Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted™ 2016 Faucet Brand Study released today. The study, based on 19,959 consumer opinions, tracks how trust impacts consumer's evaluations of faucet brands.
"Trust is a predictor of how people make decisions. When a customer trusts a brand, they are far more likely to make a purchase decision," said Lifestory Research President Eric Snider. "Trust in faucet brands has become part of purchasing a home or in making remodeling choices. When a home includes a trusted faucet brand like Moen, home shoppers take note and see an added value in the features of the home. People are willing to pay for the trust they have in the brand."
The Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted Study, in its fourth year, awards companies that provide services or products to customers in their home. Brands currently awarded the designation of America's Most Trusted include: home builders, active adult resort home builders, cabinets, faucets, electric utilities, HVAC systems, kitchen appliance brands, laundry appliance brands, paint, and residential realtor organizations. Trust is measured through a Net Trust Quotient Score in which brands are divided into three categories: "advocates," customers who feel a significant trust toward the brand; "neutrals," those who trust a specific brand, but do not see a specific brand as standing on the shoulders of other brands; and "antagonists," who are skeptics with little, if any, trust in a specific brand.
As the 2016 Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted Faucet Brand, Moen produced the highest Net Trust Quotient Score, followed in order by (2) Kohler, (3) Delta, (4) Peerless, (5) Pfister, (6) American Standard, (7) Symmons, (8) Sterling, (9) Eljer, (10) Belle Foret, (11) Grohe, (12) Franke, (13) Danze, (14) Gerber, (15) Hastings, (16) Elkay, (17) Blanco, and (18) Briggs.
