LG G Flex, easily identifiable by its curved form factor, makes its big, Hollywood debut in the upcoming action adventure film, connecting fans to LG's premium viewing experience. Courtesy of LG, several lucky fans were treated to surprise tickets to attend the exclusive premiere, getting the opportunity to watch the red carpet arrivals and sit alongside some of Hollywood's biggest A-list celebs and film stars.
Attendees of the after party had the chance to visit the LG Store to get a glimpse of tomorrow's innovative technology from LG – and try their hand at knocking out Godzilla's roar. LG also offered fans exclusive content for those seeking a snapshot before the movie hits theaters on this Friday.
"Teaming up for the premiere of one pop culture's most well-known movie icons, Godzilla provided the perfect opportunity for LG to show off our larger-than-life powerhouse of a smartphone, LG G Flex," said Chang Ma, senior vice president of North America marketing, LG MobileComm. "As a company dedicated to improving and enriching entertainment for the smartphone user by redefining the viewing experience, we were pleased to give fans and lucky winners the opportunity to be a part of the exclusive, highly anticipated screening and unlock prizes."
At the official "Godzilla" after party, LG created the "LG Store," where attendees that survived Godzilla's destruction on the big screen were treated to various experience zones, highlighting LG G Flex's innovations such as its immersive viewing and LG Knock Code security feature. LG Knock Code, an evolution of KnockON, first announced on the acclaimed LG G2, is a new, unique security feature that lets users wake and unlock smartphones using a personalized knock sequence within four invisible quadrants on the display. With Knock Code, users can customize more than 80,000 knock code combinations, helping them feel more confident about their device's security.
Cinematic Viewing with LG Curved Displays
LG is a leader in producing high quality displays, delivering consumers an amazing viewing experience on TVs and now bringing that to curved smartphones. As the world's first curved, flexible smartphone*, LG G Flex provides users with a stylish, ergonomic design, while demonstrating LG's cutting-edge engineering capabilities. The curved display of the LG G Flex recreates a cinematic viewing experience similar to the larger curved screens in movie theaters, making the Godzilla relationship with Warner Bros. and Legendary a unique opportunity.
Available on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile and at Best Buy retail locations, LG G Flex owners running Android 4.4 KitKat, can now experience immersive viewing on-the-go and customize over 80,000 Knock Code combinations, for a simple private way of waking and unlocking their devices.
