Winners of the "Share the Genius Sweepstakes" social media contest joined fans, notable media influencers and smartphone enthusiasts at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea to enjoy a private performance by Atlas Genius. Concertgoers were offered the chance to be among the first to experience LG Optimus G Pro, the powerful, new smartphone available exclusively through AT&T*, and test out its crisp, bright 1080p Full HD IPS display as well as its immersive on-device sharing capabilities.
"Through the Dual-Recording feature of Optimus G Pro, LG and Atlas Genius shared an exciting and emotional night with our friends and fans. It was a special evening filled with great memories, just like the ones we know will be captured and shared everyday by our customers using the LG Optimus G Pro," said James Fishler, senior vice president, marketing, LG Electronics USA.
In the spotlight were features that make LG Optimus G Pro the ultimate device for capturing all of life's greatest moments. Attendees had the opportunity to test out Dual Recording, allowing them to simultaneously record Atlas Genius videos with the 13 MP rear-facing camera and insert themselves into the shot with the 2.1 MP front-facing camera on the exact same screen.
Using the LG QuickMemo feature, attendees were able add their own personal notes to images from the red carpet before sharing them on their social media profiles. LG Optimus G Pro packs in so much sound and pixels that users experienced a cinematic experience right in the palm of their hand. By using QSlide 2.0, an amazing LG multitasking feature that lets people display up to three applications at once, attendees also were able to share their experiences online while simultaneously viewing video they shot.
The members of Atlas Genius got a kick out of using Optimus G Pro. "We are constantly traveling and have images and videos we want to share with our fans, friends and family. Optimus G Pro lets us capture those moments connect and share them out with some cool add-ons like hand-written notes or drawings using QuickMemo and funny video treatments using Live Effects," said Keith Jeffery, the band's lead vocalist and guitarist.
For those not present at the concert, videos and content captured with the LG Optimus G Pro are available on the LG Mobile Facebook and Twitter pages. The LG Optimus G Pro is available via a special pre-sale which includes a free Quick Cover folio case with each pre-sale phone purchase May 3 online at www.att.com/optimusgpro .
