SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Level 10 Construction, established in late 2011, recently achieved its first "#1" ranking: The company this month was ranked the #1 builder of commercial office space in the state (based on 2017 revenue) by ENR California magazine.
"We've received a lot of honors in our seven years of business, including the 2015 ENR Contractor of the Year," says Level 10 Construction President Dennis Giles. "But this #1 ranking in corporate office space is a real testament to the strength of our employees' problem-solving and relationship-building abilities."
Giles explains, "Level 10's corporate office clients include Silicon Valley tech giants who demand ultra-high-quality office environments with extraordinary amenities in order to successfully compete for the best and brightest R&D, engineering, design, sales and marketing professionals in the world. These companies also need their corporate campuses built at warp speed, due to their phenomenal growth and rapidly expanding headcount."
Level 10 Construction, which was established in late 2011, started the company with a few small education projects but also with a contract for one of the most talked-about corporate campuses in the country: a two-story, 433,555-sq.-ft. building with a nine-acre green roof for a confidential tech client in Menlo Park. The project was entirely modeled in 3-D, using a proprietary software system designed by famed architecture firm Gehry Partners. Level 10 was able to ramp up quickly on software and get all its subcontractors trained in a system that none of them had used before. The firm also was able to build the project in an astonishing 21 months.
After completing that project on budget and on time, Level 10 Construction was awarded additional work from its confidential client, as well as from the other leading tech companies. Since then, Level 10 Construction has proven to the tech world over and over again that it has the people and the technical know-how to deliver super-complex, high-quality, fast-track projects for their most valuable asset—their employees.
Of equal importance, Level 10 Construction has proven through its portfolio of corporate campus projects that it can build to the exacting standards of a very demanding client base. "Building for technology-based clients comes with its own unique set of challenges," says VP Operations Casey Wend, who is in the process of leading the tenant improvement of one of Level 10's most visually stunning projects to date: the curvy, clover-leaf-shaped Central Wolfe campus in Sunnyvale.
Soon to be occupied by a confidential tech client that is among the largest companies in the world, Central Wolfe has responded to multiple challenges to deliver a project that will become an instant icon on the Peninsula. "It's not enough to build on time, within budget and safely," says Wend, who also led the core and shell construction of Central Wolfe. "You have to immerse yourself into the culture of the client and become an extension of their team. Level 10 has people who routinely prove they can do just that, including the talented and dedicated team on this project."
In addition to complex core and shell projects and associated build-outs in Northern California, Level 10 Construction continues to grow other key markets in Southern California, such as multi-family, higher education, healthcare, biotech, Native American gaming and hospitality. Says Vice President of Operations Mike Conroy, who leads Level 10's San Diego office: "Because of our talented employees and approach to the entire life-cycle of the project, Level 10 has earned the trust of some of the most respected companies in the state. We have a reputation for being able to easily adapt to the differing requirements of each client, providing reliable information during preconstruction and predictable results during construction. Level 10's mission is to always perform at the highest level in everything we do."
