CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y. and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LeCroy Corporation (Nasdaq: LCRY), today premiered an innovative array of new products at DesignCon 2010, demonstrating continued leadership in the speed, performance and analysis capabilities of oscilloscopes and serial data test solutions. The new product lineup includes the industry's most comprehensive end-to-end test instrument suite for PCI Express® 3.0; an industry-first 4-channel, 30 GHz oscilloscope test solution; the first 25 GHz solder-in probe; a synergistic integration of a protocol analyzer capability within an oscilloscope; and new product class introductions for receiver test and signal integrity network analysis.
"LeCroy's product development teams have been aggressively working during the downturn on creating our most broad-based test solutions to date," said President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Reslewic. "At DesignCon, we are showcasing our significantly strengthened PCI Express 3.0 product line as well as demonstrating a simple way to combine two oscilloscopes to provide 30 GHz analysis speeds on 4-channels -- a feature that is in high demand for 100 Gb Ethernet development. LeCroy continues to be the leader in providing its customers with end-to-end solutions that significantly improve ease of use and productivity. The powerful list of new products premiering at DesignCon 2010 this week is aimed directly at the hotspot in the market for high-performance signal integrity analysis."
PCI Express 3.0 Test Solutions for All Phases of Silicon Development
Products launched or premiered at DesignCon 2010 that address the PCI Express 3.0 Standard include: SimPASS PE, the industry's first PCI Express protocol analyzer to address the pre-silicon simulation and design verification phases of development; ProtoSync PE, which advances the oscilloscopes' ability to interpret electrical signals into a comprehensive protocol system view; and the Summit™ Z3-16 Exerciser, which offers powerful testing capabilities for developing script-level traffic generation, while providing a wide range of pre-programmed manual test features for root complex and end point device testing. In combination, SimPASS PE, ProtoSync PE, the Summit Z3-16 Exerciser and LeCroy's Summit T3-16 Analyzer deliver the most comprehensive analysis and testing solution for developers working on PCI Express 3.0 designs.
End-to-End Serial Data Solutions
LeCroy's SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) test suite which covers the full range of test needs: industry-leading oscilloscopes for transmitter testing, unique products such as the Protocol-enabled Receiver and Transmitter Tolerance Tester (PeRT 3™), specialized solutions for TDR testing on sampling oscilloscopes, and a full line of serial data protocol analyzers.
Record-Breaking Bandwidth and Signal Fidelity Support New High Speed Technologies
Two products that extend LeCroy's bandwidth leadership in high-bandwidth real-time scopes, the Zi-8CH-SYNCH Oscilloscope Synchronization Kit, which simply and easily combines two WaveMaster 830 Zi oscilloscopes to provide 4 channels at 30 GHz, and an industry-leading 25 GHz WaveLink High Bandwidth Differential Solder-in Probe -- the fastest in the world for achieving superior high frequency broadband performance.
A New Instrument Class of Signal Integrity Network Analyzers
LeCroy will preview the SPARQ, a new family of signal integrity network analyzers that are not just new instruments, but an entirely new instrument class. These network analyzers are designed to quickly and easily measure scattering parameters (S-parameters) of devices having up to four ports with measurements up to 40 GHz.
The DesignCon 2010 conference and exhibition runs from February 1 to 4, 2010 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. LeCroy experts will be showcasing demonstrations of the new products throughout the week. Please visit Booth 109 or the LeCroy website for more information and the demonstration schedule.
