"Learn Chile", the brand that promotes Chilean higher education will be launched at NAFSA 2014
An "experience" for international students who choose academic exchanges in Chile is the promise of "Learn Chile", a brand that has the support of 21 Chilean higher education institutions and ProChile
SAN DIEGO, May 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- 21 institutions of higher education from Chile arrived in California to participate at NAFSA, the largest fair in this area in the world. In the event it will be launched "Learn Chile", a Chilean educational brand which has the objective to position the country as a destination for international students who are looking to enroll in academic exchanges and Spanish courses.
"Chile is a country that offers a complete and diverse experience to foreign students who decide to come here to study. Not only they can learn about the country's culture, and improve their proficiency in the Spanish language, but they can also travel through its extensive and unique geography, from the northern deserts up to the ski centers in the mountain range, and down to the beautiful ecological reserves in Patagonia. Furthermore, Chile is a country that stands out for its security, quality of life, educational attainment, and for having one of the most prosperous economies in Latin America", said the Director of ProChile, Roberto Paiva.
Given the international nature of NAFSA, and that the project is focused primarily in Europe, China, USA and Brazil, this fair was chosen to launch the brand because it reunites more than 8,000 visitors from all over the world and from all student mobility industries.
The launch is scheduled for this Wednesday at the Hotel San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina and will feature a major photo exhibition of the Chilean poet Nicanor Parra, as well as provide networking opportunities in the education sector and a wines tasting.
"Attendees can spend time interacting with representatives of higher education from Chile and learn about its academic offerings. Additionally, they can become familiar with the cultural and natural attractions of the country, which are part of the experience of students who choose to study in Chile," said Marcos Avilez, Project Director of "Learn Chile".
With time, NAFSA has become the ideal platform to encourage student mobility, expand networks and develop partnerships between educational institutions all over the world.
