Leaf Shave Raises $100,000 to Launch New Razor

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Leaf Shave Company announces today the successful funding of their flagship product, the Leaf Razor, on crowd-funding platform Kickstarter. The Leaf Razor is a true innovation in shaving razors, a fusion of classic safety-razor blade technology and modern ergonomics.

The company launched the Leaf Razor campaign on June 11 with a target fund-raising goal of $100,000. Passing this threshold means that the Leaf razor can go into production. The campaign remains live through August 11, after which pre-orders will be taken on the Leaf Shave website.

The Leaf Razor is designed to accept double-edge blades, which have been reliably used for shaving for more than a century. The razor is the first that accepts these blades into a modern form-factor that employs a pivoting head and multiple blade-edge capacity. Because of this innovation, users can replace their blades for as little as 5%-10% of the cost of traditional disposable cartridges. Additionally, users choose to load 1, 2 or 3 blades, which provides the opportunity to customize aggressiveness.
