BROOKLYN, N.Y., June 17, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Aisha Tyler's Courage+Stone, which launched in early 2020 with a ready to drink Classic Old Fashioned and Classic Manhattan, has grown 596% in the last two months, mainly through direct sales from its website (www.courageandstone.com). This explosive growth demonstrates not only the product's premium quality, but the growing popularity of the ready-to-drink category as a whole.
Courage+Stone is Aisha's brainchild--she formulated the cocktail expressions personally. Both cocktails are made in Brooklyn at New York Distilling, and feature small batch American whiskey along with other premium ingredients. The Old Fashioned includes notes of orange and dark cherry, and the Manhattan, a bespoke sweet vermouth, with notes of cherry and dark chocolate. They are currently offered in a 200 ml format, with 750 ml bottles debuting later this year.
To bring Courage+Stone to market, Aisha partnered in 2015 with industry veteran David Kanbar (SKYY Vodka, Skinnygirl, Bulldog Gin) to sell through Kanbar's company, Brand House Wines & Spirits, LLC.
Tyler had long appreciated expertly crafted cocktails and wanted to recreate the same quality at home, without having to mix or muddle at the end of a long workday. She began batching cocktails to store in her refrigerator, and a business idea was born.
