The MGL25-8C-480-120V-GFI temporary power distribution system converts three phase 480 VAC current to commonly used single phase 240 and 120 VAC via a 25 KVA transformer and allows operators in industrial work operations to safely tap into high voltage power sources and provide power for equipment and lighting that requires standard voltages. This unit is designed to step down three phase 480 VAC to single phase 120 VAC and 240 VAC and connects to the primary 480 V source via an included 50 feet of line power cord with a 60amp, 480v, 3 phase /4 wire male plug. A single main on/off switch with fused disconnect provides primary line protection and supplies primary power to the heavy duty transformer. The 25KVA transformer steps 480V current down to single phase 120 and 240 VAC which is fed through a 120/240v, 1 phase, 125 amp load center with main breaker. Secondary output is made available through six 20 amp, 120 volt, GFI protected waterproof duplex receptacles and two 30amp, 250v receptacles. Additional protection on the secondary side is provided by six - 20amp, 125 Volt, 1 pole breakers and 2 - 30amp, 250v, 2 pole breakers. The entire load center on this heavy duty power distribution system is housed within a NEMA 4/12 rated enclosure for durable protection from the elements and an optional glass door allows operators to easily inspect the load center for maintenance purposes. This temporary power substation provides easier setup in the work area with a standard cart style steel frame equipped with two rugged rubber tires, which allows operators to easily tilt the unit and roll it into position as needed. This durable steel frame is securely grounded to the transformer/load center assembly, and is supplied with a durable finish to resist rust and corrosion and a rear mounted cord rack for storing the included 50 feet of primary connection cord. This unit is capable of powering a wide variety of equipment and devices that require 120 or 240 VAC current, and is ideal for lighting loads up to 1250 watts as well. This power distribution system is NEMA 4/12 rated for protection against accidental contact, rain, dust, splashing water, and sprayed water and ideal for new construction, plant turnarounds, shipyards, and work environments where normal 120 and 240 VAC current is unavailable.
