Nomsters is a puzzle-arcade game that blends aspects of pinball and pool for a thoroughly original play experience. Players lead a band of lovable characters called Nomsters on a mission to save their fresh fruit from an invading army of evil Fruit Flies, guiding them through levels full of gates, bumpers, thieving Flies, and other challenges. Alongside an extensive single-player campaign Nomsters features a multiplayer mode for one-on-one competition with Facebook friends.
To promote the game, Large Animal has partnered with competitive eating champion Takeru Kobayashi for an event that will widen Nomsters' audience long after the game's launch. Once Nomsters players worldwide collect a total of one billion in-game fruit, Large Animal will host a record-setting fruit eating challenge in New York City, featuring the world-famous competitive eater himself.
"As Large Animal's first independently funded and published mobile game, Nomsters represents an exciting new direction for us," says Wade Tinney, CEO of the company. "We couldn't be happier to bring this blend of fast-paced, arcade-puzzle action to mobile gamers around the world. We've fallen in love with the Nomsters and we hope others will too."

About Takeru Kobayashi
Widely considered the world's greatest eater, Nagano, Japan-native and New York resident Takeru Kobayashi ("Kobi" to friends) brought competitive eating from the fringe to the mainstream. In doing so, he remains the barometer by which all other competitors are compared. Kobayashi holds 6 Guinness records (hot dogs, pasta, pizza, meatballs, Twinkies, hamburgers), and numerous other world records including those for eating chicken wings, turkey and cheesesteaks. Beyond eating, Kobayashi has become a pop culture icon on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. He has been featured in commercials for the likes of SportsCenter, Eight O'Clock Coffee and MasterCard; he has done numerous corporate appearances; and recently signed on as a part owner of Hofmann's Hotdogs, America's oldest hot dog company, that will soon begin production on a signature "Kobayashi dog."
