Lancaster County Convention Center and Marriott at Penn Square to Host 'Lancaster for Haiti' Charity Event Presented by The Creative House of Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lancaster County Convention Center and Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square is pleased to host 'Lancaster for Haiti – Hearts in Harmony' - an innovative musical and interactive event. The event will take place on April 2, 2010, at 7 p.m. in Freedom Hall at the integrated Lancaster hotel and convention center. The fundraiser is presented by The Creative House of Lancaster (CHL).

All proceeds will go to the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) of Lancaster's Haiti earthquake relief efforts. Prior to the earthquake, MCC worked in Haiti since 1958 in reforestation and environmental education, human rights, and advocacy for food security.

"We're working together to harness CHL's mission and spirit of creativity, collaboration, and mutual support," said CHL executive director Anne Kirby, "to hold a truly exciting event. We want to let Haiti know that Lancaster, Pa., has not forgotten their ongoing and extreme circumstances.

Tickets are on sale at various locations around Lancaster and will be available at the door, with a base price of $10 and suggested donation of $20. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older.
