KPMG Named One of the World's Best Outsourcing Advisors by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals
NEW YORK, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) has again named KPMG LLP to its list of the World's Best Outsourcing Advisors, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm has announced. The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors recognizes the world's best advisors, with rankings based on applications received and evaluated by an independent judging panel organized by IAOP.
"It's an honor to once again to be chosen by the IAOP for this prestigious designation," said Cliff Justice, KPMG's national leader for Shared Services and Outsourcing Advisory. "We appreciate this important recognition of KPMG's depth of experience, global reach and holistic approach, which are in strong demand by organizations facing increasingly complex business support needs."
"Being named to The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors is a great recognition, particularly given the strong competition," said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett and chair of the judges' panel. "As the economy recovers, partnering with the world's best outsourcing providers and advisors will be more important than ever."
"Given the turbulence of the last several years, now is the perfect time for organizations to undertake a 'clean sheet review,' to re-align the delivery organization with the needs of the business, and to take advantage of the capabilities that exist with external providers," KPMG's Justice added.
He noted that after three to five years, many organizations may face diminishing returns as their shared services functions and outsourcing agreements reach maturity in their natural lifecycle. Organizations will therefore be challenged with developing more diverse service delivery portfolios in pursuit of greater value, speed and competitive advantage.
"As companies rethink their service delivery models, they are now looking to leverage their advisor's experience to help them simplify and shape their service delivery models, rather than the advisor simply serving as an extension of their own procurement department," said Justice. "Outsourcing and shared services professionals need to shift their focus from deal analysis/economics to how they can help their companies build and implement services capabilities across multiple delivery models."
While KPMG's Shared Services and Outsourcing Advisory group works with entities across a wide spectrum of maturity and practices in terms of sourcing, the group has a particular emphasis on helping organizations with a complex mix of tactical outsourcing and shared services initiatives to evolve to a more simplified and integrated Extended Global Enterprise (EGE) model. With the EGE model, a portfolio of internal capabilities and external service providers are aligned across service functions to deliver the appropriate level of service to the business based on their unique needs. KPMG helps clients as they assess current operations and strategy, develop a practical roadmap, address change management issues, centralize and optimize capabilities, outsource functions, and create a sustainable governance and performance management model.
The rankings of the companies named to the World's Best Outsourcing Advisors list will be revealed in a special advertising feature produced by IAOP in the May 3 issue of Fortune magazine. The advertising feature will also include rankings for IAOP's Global Outsourcing 100 list, which recognizes the world's best outsourcing service providers.
