Kodak Teams with Bonnie Marcus to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Exclusive, Custom Stationery from Famed Designer Available at KODAK Picture Kiosks
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Eastman Kodak Company today announced a program offering a collection of designer photo cards and personal stationery featuring illustrations by famed stationery designer Bonnie Marcus. The special collection, with its "think pink" theme, includes greeting cards, invitations, thank-you notes and collages, all designed to inspire supporters of this important cause.
The Bonnie Marcus pink ribbon collection will be available exclusively at approximately 1,200 Target stores nationwide during the month of October. Guests can save five percent on the purchase of their photo cards and stationery by shopping with the Target REDCard. As an added incentive, customers who purchase a 5" x 7" folded photo card at full price will receive a second card FREE. A portion of the proceeds from the designs will benefit organizations that support breast cancer research and education.
Ms. Marcus, often called the "designer to the stars" for her stylish, custom stationery made for celebrities like Marcia Cross, Cindy Crawford and Molly Sims, has created more than two dozen design variations for this special project.
"There is nothing more rewarding than the feeling of crossing the finish line after a walk or race in support of a breast cancer research," said Marcus. "We are thrilled to partner with Kodak on custom photo cards that enable customers to capture the emotion of that special day on thank-you cards for their supporters, their team, or the survivor who inspired them. Our custom photo collages are also a meaningful keepsake and the perfect gift for a loved one."
"We are honored to work with Bonnie Marcus to help bring awareness to Breast Cancer Awareness Month," said Larry Trevarthen, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Retail Systems Solutions, Eastman Kodak Company. "KODAK Picture Kiosks, of which there are more than 105,000 worldwide, offer instant printing and creative personalization. Partnering with Bonnie Marcus for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a unique way we offer customers an opportunity to customize and print cards, collages and stationery for this cause."
The campaign will be promoted through multiple activities, which include in-store and online coupon offers; posts to social media outlets, such as FACEBOOK and TWITTER; consumer email blasts; online blog posts, and displays on KODAK Picture Kiosks.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also referred to as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is an annual, international health campaign, organized by major breast cancer charities. Each October, extra emphasis is given to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. In addition, Breast Cancer Awareness Month includes educating the public about early detection and also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
