RALEIGH, N.C., March 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- KnowledgeTree, a provider of cloud-based document management solutions, today announced the beta release of KnowledgeTree for Outlook, a new product that lets users securely store emails and attachments in KnowledgeTree's online document vault and interact seamlessly with KnowledgeTree-hosted content directly from their Microsoft Outlook® email application.

KnowledgeTree for Outlook complements KnowledgeTree's existing KnowledgeTree for Office product, released in December 2010, which allows collaborative editing of cloud-based documents from Microsoft Word®, Excel® and PowerPoint® applications.
Many business users view Microsoft Outlook as their primary productivity application, and using KnowledgeTree for Outlook means they no longer need to toggle between different applications. Now they can save email messages and attachments directly into KnowledgeTree's online document vault, and easily attach documents from KnowledgeTree to outgoing email.
"KnowledgeTree for Outlook is a breakthrough for us! It streamlines the way we manage our documents," said Elaine Fontejon, Senior Analyst at LibertadCard Inc.
Documents and emails saved into KnowledgeTree's online vault can be entered into easy-to-use document workflow tools, allowing mid-market companies to go beyond online file-sharing with features that support business processes around approvals, contracts, HR, finance and compliance.
"When I'm at the office I live in Outlook, and the ability to save attachments directly into KnowledgeTree is a great time saver," said Paul Chancellor, Principal of OceanLaw Group.
"KnowledgeTree for Outlook is another important way we provide growing companies with tools that allow them to compete with much larger organizations," said Daniel Chalef, KnowledgeTree CEO. "Thanks to the cloud, we're able to continue to rapidly and affordably provide customers with innovation."
KnowledgeTree for Outlook is compatible with Microsoft's Office 2010, 2007 and 2003 products, and will be available across all KnowledgeTree product pricing plans.
