Building on sales successes in 2018, Knowledge to Practice accelerates its entry into the enterprise healthcare market with key additions to the board of directors and executive team.
BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Knowledge to Practice (K2P), a leading provider of personalized, competency-based lifelong learning for practicing physicians, hospitals and healthcare systems, today announced that Anthony Sanzo, CEO and Board Chairman of Net Health, has been elected to K2P's board of directors and Kara Sasse, product strategist known for leading organic growth at early stage start-ups like Blackboard and EverFi, has accepted the role of Chief Product Officer.
Mr. Sanzo, who joined the Net Health board in 2000, was elected Chairman in 2001 and became CEO in 2011, guided the company through two private equity recapitalizations and helped to restructure the company from the ground up from two to over 300 employees working in five offices across the country. Net Health provides mission critical, cloud-based clinical documentation, practice management, billing solutions, outcomes management and professional services to support specialized outpatient medical settings. Prior to leading Net Health, he served as the CEO for TeleTracking Technologies for ten years and co-founded two healthcare consulting companies.
"Anthony is a veteran in the healthcare industry with over 30 years of successes, and we are honored to welcome him to K2P's board of directors," said Mary Ellen Beliveau. "His strong experience, especially in building an enterprise healthcare solutions company will be extremely valuable as K2P continues to invest in our enterprise product suite."
Mr. Sanzo joins Ms. Beliveau on the five-member K2P board of directors, chaired by Leah Binder. Ms. Binder is President & CEO of The Leapfrog Group, an employer-driven nonprofit that rates hospitals and healthcare systems on safety and quality. She has been named on Becker's list of the 50 most powerful people in healthcare, and consistently cited by Modern Healthcare among the 100 most influential people and top 25 women in healthcare. The two other prominent members of the K2P board are highly published and awarded Edward Benz, MD, emeritus CEO and past President of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Richard Segal, Managing Partner at Rethink Education.
As the Chief Product Officer, Ms. Sasse will oversee the development and growth of the K2P physician education online learning solutions for the enterprise healthcare market. She will set product vision and strategy, ensuring long-term scalability and profitability for the company's product line. Prior to joining K2P in 2019, she was head of Product Management and Strategy for the past five years at Gallup, responsible creating, scaling, and launching innovative services and digital solutions for their CliftonStrengths Education & Entrepreneurship portfolio. She brings deep expertise in the Edtech industry and is a proven leader in scaling early stage start-ups during their organic growth stages. As the eighth employee at EverFi and a member of their executive team she led all aspects of product development. As one of the first 30 employees at Blackboard, she held senior product and marketing positions during their early organic growth.
"Kara's addition to K2P's executive team will directly support our aggressive growth strategy," said Mary Ellen Beliveau. "At EverFi, she built from scratch and then led the curriculum design, product management, and customer support teams that built their award-winning learning platform for more than 5,000 schools and universities.
