Klaviyo Names Steve Wietrecki as Chief Revenue Officer
Executive leader joins to help navigate Klaviyo through next phase of growth
BOSTON, Nov. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ecommerce email automation provider Klaviyo today announced that Steve Wietrecki joins the company as Chief Revenue Officer. With an impressive track record for managing businesses at all stages — from high growth start-ups to multinational public companies — Steve recently served as Chief Operating Officer with ClassPass and Rocana. Wietrecki has also worked with major retail brands such as Victoria's Secret and Under Armor on their ecommerce strategies. Klaviyo, which tripled on all fronts in 2016, is closing out another strong year of record growth. Wietrecki's focus will be on accelerating the company's high growth trajectory in 2018 and beyond.
"Klaviyo is different from your typical SaaS company. We've fueled our own growth by solving tough technical challenges and building a product that demonstrably helps thousands of ecommerce brands sell more," says Andrew Bialecki, CEO and co-founder of Klaviyo. "Steve brings a rare combination of skills to the table that line up perfectly with the type of company we're building. He's served as both an operational strategist to startups and a growth-minded executive at public companies. That background will be incredibly helpful as we enter the next stage at Klaviyo."
With more than 20 years of experience, Steve has helped various public and private companies develop and execute growth strategies. Before joining Klaviyo, he held executive leadership positions with several high-tech companies, including ClassPass, Rocana, Backupify, and more. He has primarily focused on ensuring operational excellence and deploying strategic initiatives designed to fuel long term high growth. In his role as Chief Revenue Officer at Klaviyo, Wietrecki will oversee business operations, finance, sales, and marketing.
"I'm incredibly excited to join Klaviyo," says Wietrecki. "Between the momentum we've generated to date and the opportunities for technical and business innovation that lie ahead, Klaviyo is poised to fundamentally change how marketing is done for every company that sells online."
Board member Jon Karlen of Astral Capital adds, "Steve's ability to steer companies through every phase of growth coupled with his passion, focus, and innovative approach made him instantly appealing for this role. We couldn't be happier to welcome him to the Klaviyo team."
