Keynote Announced for 8th Annual Pharmaceutical Meeting Management Forum -- Dr. Francois Nader, President and Chief Executive Officer, NPS Pharmaceuticals
BOSTON, Oct. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CBI and Medical Meetings Magazine announced today that Francois Nader, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of NPS Pharmaceuticals, will keynote the 8th Annual Pharmaceutical Meeting Management Forum on March 25-28, 2012 in Orlando, FL.
Dr. Nader's CEO address will explore how recent changes in the life sciences industry are affecting meeting management. He will provide the executive perspective on the current regulatory requirements, how companies are enhancing their compliance oversight, co-development initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, cost management, new technology platforms, and other factors that meeting managers need to know to meet today's -- and tomorrow's -- challenges. Dr. Nader, who has been president and chief executive officer of NPS since March 2008, served as executive vice president and chief operating officer from June 2006 until his promotion to CEO. During his tenure at NPS, Dr. Nader has managed the company's worldwide research and development, commercial operations, manufacturing and regulatory affairs. Before joining NPS, Dr. Nader was a venture partner at Care Capital, LLC and chief medical officer of its clinical development capital unit from July 2005, to June 2006. From 2000 to July 2005, he served as senior vice president, integrated healthcare markets and senior vice-president, North America medical and regulatory affairs with Aventis Pharmaceuticals. He held similar positions at Hoechst Marion Roussel and served as head of global commercial operations at the Pasteur Vaccines division of Rhone-Poulenc. Dr. Nader received a French State Doctorate in Medicine from St. Joseph University and a Physician Executive M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
